Opinionated comment: Think for yourself! That is as Allah, God Almighty, intended. We are to address all life’s dilemmas with a pure heart turned toward God. We were given intellect and the right to address our Creator directly through prayer.

Ask advice of those who truly follow Islam but if their words do not ring true in your heart, flowing sweetly and easily from thought to action then run back to prayer and do not give up in asking God for guidance. Allah is in your heart. Seek with faith.

Bad Fatwa: Divorcing a Wife Who Refuses to Wear Hijab

Iran: Top cleric says women without veils must die

Tehran, 19 Dec. (AKI) – A top Muslim cleric in Iran, Hojatolislam Gholam Reza Hassani said on Wednesday that women in Iran who do not wear the hijab or Muslim headscarf, should die.

Comment: I chose these verses from the second book of the Koran (the Cow – of course this is a translation of the meaning into English) to knock down the hateful message of this cleric who has spoken words that go against Islam. Also, I would remind all that God determined there must be “no compulsion in religion” and it is a sin to go against God’s will as delivered in the Koran. I think the cleric should be publicly reprimanded and lose his position.

“2.8″:    And there are some people who say: We believe in Allah and the last day; and they are not at all believers.

“2.9″:    They desire to deceive Allah and those who believe, and they deceive only themselves and they do not perceive.

“2.10″:    There is a disease in their hearts, so Allah added to their disease and they shall have a painful chastisement because they lie.

“2.11″:    And when it is said to them, Do not make mischief in the land, they say: We are but peace-makers.

“2.12″:    Now surely they themselves are the mischief makers, but they do not perceive.

“2.13″:    And when it is said to them: Believe as the people believe they say: Shall we believe as the fools believe? Now surely they themselves are the fools, but they do not know.

“2.14″:    And when they meet those who believe, they say: We believe; and when they are alone with their Shaitans, they say: Surely we are with you, we were only mocking.

“2.15″:    Allah shall pay them back their mockery, and He leaves them alone in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on.
